Connect Chemicals, took over, so after many changes of ownership, the lab that produced Rodinal for Agfa no longer produces Agfa chemicals. Because over-development, or an increase in developer strength, cannot appreciably raise the density of the exposed shadow areas in the region of lightly exposed silver halides there is almost nothing to actually over-developthe developer strength or developing time can be varied to lower or increase the highlight areas.
It seems everybody’s experience varies.
I love rodinal, and with FP4 it is my favourite combo. Which is a big plus in an apartment! Post was not sent – check your email addresses! But I have used it in the past with 35mm and medium format Ilford and Kodak as well. Foma calls it Rodinak R09 for bottles made after Stand development of sheet films, oriented vertically with high dilution, no agitation, and extremely long developing times can be used for special purposes.
